(Gram) About a decade ago Angstgegner released their first album and played a shitload of shows across Europe. Then the band came to an abrupt halt for treatment of a brain tumor and other physical and mental issues. With all that out of the way, Angstgegner is now out of hibernation and stronger than ever. The new album is once again recorded at Patrick Delabie’s Studio 195 and contains 16 brand new songs. Martijn Konings (drums, guitar) and Mario van Meer (vocals, bass) recorded the foundation for all tracks in a couple of days, and invited a bunch of friends to finish the album. Together they created a very diverse album, exploring the boundaries of hardcore while still raging onward like a tank. Musically, the band added some more Discharge, Nirvana, Descendents and even Shellac to their Black Flag sound. Vocally, the album is a lot more furious than the first one because you know, the planet is currently being choked to death by some billionaires so let’s all unite and chant down Babylon.The first pressing is on stunning gold marbled vinyl, limited to 200 copies, and comes with an 8-page booklet and stickers.
