(REFUSE) Dutch POINT OF NO RETURN was a short lived militant radical leftist hard-edge band from Kerkrade-West, which existed between 1989-1991. During their time they managed to release one legendary demo where they mixed provocation and fun with radical politics and straight edge in the style of bands like Project X and especially Colt Turkey. In their lyrics, on stage, in interviews, everywhere PONR portrayed themselves as this extreme HxE group.
Obviously not everyone got the joke, but that made it even more funny. Until they noticed things were getting a little out of hand. That’s when they decided it was enough, 1991.
By then Rob, Roger and Mike already had another project up and running, FEEDING THE FIRE. Their serious band, so to say. Which was already getting some attention and was getting pretty active.
They had fun, they ridiculed that stupid radical US thing, pissed off and/or confused quite some people locally and wherever else, but in the meantime also made a lot of new friends and were more focused than ever on getting out there voicing their opinion!
This is a vinyl reissue of their self-released demo from 1990. 9 tracks incl. a cover of the early 80’s Boston’s band DECADENCE.  Feat. an 8-page booklet and sticker.
