(Common People) Resolver is a femme-fronted Street Punk band from Melbourne, Australia, featuring members from RazorCut, The Opposition, The Clinch and Marching Orders. Back in May, they dropped a new EP called “Better Than What?” which you can now grab on vinyl through Common People Records. The EP kicks off with its title track “Better Than What?” featuring gritty guitars and a fierce vocal performance by Bel. There are plenty of shout-along moments that really capture the Punk community vibe. Next up “Beast” hits hard and keeps the Punk energy going strong with Bel’s vocals packing a serious punch. “Make It On Your Own” adds a bit more melody while staying true to its Street Punk roots. “Mind Control” is another raw in-your-face track with some sharp political commentary. The closing track “To Grow is a Privilege,” wraps up the EP with the same high energy and shout-along choruses it started with. The lyrics are both nostalgic and boldly political, summing up everything awesome about this EP.
