(Crucial Response) Mainstrike were something of a catalyst for the youth crew wave in Europe. The band had already gained a following before they had even released a record. Influenced by classic hardcore, this record showed what hardcore should sound like. Aggressive vocals, a noisy guitar sound and a rhythm machine, plus sing-along parts – that’s how it should be, and nothing else. The live photo on this 7″ inspired future bands in this genre.
